The annual yard sale and bake sale at the Northern Wake Senior Center on East Holding Avenue will be held Friday, Aug. 8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 9, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
All donations are welcome, but no clothes please, and they will be accepted beginning Thursday, Aug. 7.
All the proceeds benefit the senior center, where the building is owned and maintained by the Town of Wake Forest and the programming and staffing is provided by Resources for Seniors.
Drop by to find a bargain or the dessert for dinner and help an organization which helps many in our community.
Did you know the senior center was built and donated to the town by a group of older people in Wake Forest who saw a need and began holding bake sales, even a day-long festival, to raise the money to buy the land and build the building? Do you see a need in Wake Forest? Maybe you can find others and work to fill it.
