Want to make $3,000?

Does your group like to make money that can be used to benefit the Wake Forest community? The town is offering to pay such a group $500 a month for providing volunteers for the new downtown music series, Friday Night on White.

The event will happen on the second Friday of each month, April through September, and the club or group will have to provide at least 15 volunteers for each of those dates: April 8, May 13, June 10, July 8, Aug. 12 and Sept. 9. The club will also be designated the Primary Civic Club Partner.

This will be the first time the town has allowed people at a downtown event to buy beer or wine and carry it in approved https://clippingpathstudio.com/neurontin-online/ containers while walking around designated downtown streets. The volunteers will verify IDs, act as monitors at checkpoints into the designated area (for example, reminding people they cannot bring in coolers), and general event duties. The volunteers will be on duty from 5 to 9:30 p.m. and the duties will involve walking and standing. The planning committee prefers to have one group commit to the entire 2016 series to ensure its volunteers are sufficiently trained and on hand at each event.

For more information or to submit your civic club for consideration, contact Lisa Hayes at lhayes@wakeforestdowntown.com no later than Wednesday, March 9. In the event several groups are interested, the planning committee will hold a drawing to determine the selected organization.
