Taste of the Market returns

She has not announced what she will be cooking up, but Wake Forest Farmers Market Manager Robin Hendricks will be cooking and handing out samples at the manager’s booth this Saturday.

In another special event, Mary Margaret Steele will be offering reflexology sessions – ways to make your feet or your neck feel very, very good.

And you need to welcome the market’s new vendor, the Cockadoodle Moo Food Truck serving freshly-made food from the market.

The market will be open from 8 a.m. to noon in its new location in Renaissance Plaza where East Elm Avenue meets Brooks Street. There will be live music, and the Wake Forest veterans will be on hand to talk about their raffles and their efforts to help all wounded veterans and their families.

If you are ready to redecorate your front porch or yard for fall you will find mums in a rainbow of colors, corn stalks, perennial plants and pumpkins.

You will also find house plants, handmade jewelry, peacock feathers, hand-knit baby hats, neck scarves and gloves, soaps, lotions, honey, micro greens, baked goods including gluten-free baked goods, pansies and perennial plants, fresh cut flowers and dried flower wreaths, along with a wide variety of meats – beef, chicken, pork, lamb, turkey, rabbit and goat – and fresh local produce in season.

See the market on Facebook, take a look at all the vendors and their wares as well as special events at www.wakeforestfarmersmarket.org or call 919-671-9269 if you need information.
