There were only 25 permits for new homes, all single-family, issued by the Wake Forest Inspections Department during September.
Through August the department had issued 295 permits for all types of homes – single-family, townhouse and mobile home – bringing the year’s total to 320 new homes.
Last year there were 363 permits for detached single-family homes, 105 permits for townhouses, 260 apartment permits and two permits for manufactured homes.
