2014 is the 21st year for the Wake Forest Singers Community Chorus. The major spring concert planned for Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Franklin Academy Middle School will be a musical celebration of “Seasons.” Featured will be choral arrangements of scripture-based lyrics, pop tunes such as California Dreamin, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, and selections from Broadway Musicals such as “Porgy & Bess,” “Rent,” “Camelot,” “Lion King” and “Jersey Boys” (Yes, The Four Seasons).
Rehearsals started Thursday, Feb. 6, at 7 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church and continue through April 3. No auditions required. All interested singers are welcome through the first through rehearsals through Feb. 20. Ginger Graves is director with a guest accompanist Mike Olson.
