The Wake Forest Youth Orchestra is sponsoring two summer camps for aspiring violinists, both during the week of Aug. 4-8 at Flaherty Park Community Center at 1226 North White Street.
The camp for beginners, rising fourth- through sixth-graders ages 8 through 11 will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. each day. Violins will be provided to use during camp for the first ten who register. Spaces are limited. The cost is $145 per student.
The intermediate strings camps for rising seventh- through tenth-graders, ages 12 through 16, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon each day. It is for those with at least one year of orchestra experience and those playing the violin, viola, cello or bass. The cost is $125 per student.
