Through a partnership developed by the Northeast Regional Business Alliance, Cap 8 coaches and NFL players are coming together with the NFL, the HSPD, and the National Guard to help prepare today’s CAP 8 and area football athletes to become tomorrow’s leaders as athletes and professionals.

Guy Trawick, chairman of the Northeast Regional Business Alliance thanked business and community leaders along with Freddie Brown (NFL- HSPD), Bob Winstead (Carolina Elite Football), Pat Teague, Cap 8 Area football coaches, the Wake County schools School to Career program and Wake Forest Parks and Recreation for their support in making this all possible.

Through the NFL- HSPD Camp on June 14th, the Russell Wilson Camp on June 21st, the 7 on 7 State Championship Tournament on July 18th-19th and the establishment of the CAP 8 Letterman’s Club, our athletes will have the opportunity to grow and enhance their leadership talents as student athletes.

Trawick said he believed that through these efforts and others we are making a positive investment in the future of our student athletes and in the future of our communities.”

Freddie Brown, the NFL HSPD regional director said, “On behalf of the NFL and the National Guard, we’re really excited to offer the Wake Forest community a High School Player Development Camp.”
