New businesses continue to pour into Wake Forest, and at the same time there have been some major changes in the restaurant scene.
The Fig restaurant on South Main Street closed several months ago and the building, which is for sale, would make a good spot for another restaurant.
In the Heritage Station shopping center where Harris Teeter is the major tenant, Blue Fins restaurant closed recently. The new restaurant there will be One Whirled Café, which promises an emphasis on healthy, local food in a friendly café atmosphere. It will open this month.
Over in the Gateway shopping center, Giorgio Bakatsias is remaking Girasole Italian restaurant into Farm Table Kitchen & Bar with a farm-to-table concept and will be opening in June also.
