Get tickets now for ‘Country Fried Caper’

Tickets are on sale for the Murder Mystery Dinner Theater “Country Fried Caper” on Saturday, July 23, at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre for the Arts, 405 Brooks Street.

If you enjoy the theater intertwined with a good murder mystery, then you’ll love “Country Fried Caper” performed by the Triangle-based theater troupe “It’s A Mystery.” Put on your cowboy boots and grab some fringe, it’s time to sample true Americana. This is your chance to meet the country music stars of tomorrow without having to go to the State Fair or the opening of the local Chili Cook-off.

“Race with the Stars” has brought together singing stars Fay Thrill, Billy Ray Jones, and Shanna Twang, along with racing phenomenon Gordy Anpetty. The singers travel as part of this bus tour to advance their careers. It’s been said that road trips can be murder. In this case – that could be true!

In the event of an untimely death, it will be up to you and your table of fellow sleuths to discover who could commit such a crime.

It’s A Mystery’s interactive comedy mysteries offer fresh, creative and fun entertainment. The group’s original scripts, played out by talented actors, will challenge your brain and tickle your funny bone!

This popular form of interactive theater gives attendees the chance to mingle with the characters during the reception, question the “suspects” after the crime has been perpetrated, and formulate their own notion of “whodunit” and why.

“Country Fried Caper” will be performed by It’s A Mystery’s professional troupe of seven accomplished actors who will bring to life exciting characters with colorful backgrounds and questionable motives. The sophisticated plot that ensues will provide the audience with clues to help you pin down the perpetrator or perpetrators of a dastardly deed.

Designed for patrons ages 18 and older, this crime-solving theatrical production will include a “Killer Buffet Dinner.” Provided by Cook Shack Catering, the buffet will feature a chef salad, barbecue chicken and roast beef, roasted veggies and garlic mashed potatoes, dinner rolls, peach cobbler and Swiss chocolate cake, tea, water, and coffee. A variety of beer and wine will also be available for purchase.

Doors open at 6:15 p.m. and dinner will be served starting at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $35 (plus tax) in advance and $45 (plus tax) on the day of the performance and include dinner.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.wakeforestnc.gov/tickets-events.aspx with a Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit card.
