*The Wake Forest Farmers Market will be open in Renaissance Plaza on Saturday, Jan. 30, with its usual winter hours, 10 a.m. to noon.
*The Wake Forest Historical Association’s annual membership meeting will be held Sunday, Jan. 31, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Wake Forest Historical Museum. A new board member and officers will be elected. Michelle Michael, a senior planner with the Town of Wake Forest, will provide an update about the rehabilitation/renovation of the Ailey Young House. *There will be no Wake Forest Planning Board meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 2, because of a lack of items ready for review. However, the Wake Forest Town Board will hold its regular work session that night at 5:30 p.m. and it will be broadcast on Channel 10;
*The Wake Forest Town Board will hold its annual winter planning retreat Friday, Jan. 29, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Renaissance Centre. It is open to the public. Call Town Clerk Deeda Harris to arrange if you want breakfast and lunch.
*Due to renovations around the Community House, the Feb. 4 and March 3 meetings of the Wake Forest Woman’s Club will be held in the Parish Hall of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 834 Durham Road.
