*The Wake Forest Farmers Market will not be open from Saturday, Nov. 28, in the Renaissance Plaza in front of the Renaissance Centre because the vendors will be enjoying the holiday with their families. It will return Saturday, Dec. 5, with a very special Craft Fair plus the usual vendors and extended hours, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

*The Youngsville Kiwanis Turkey Shoot is held every Saturday night from 6 to 10 p.m. at 2808 Cedar Creek Road. It will be held through Dec. 12 and the proceeds benefit the Kiwanis projects in the Youngsville area.

*The tenth annual Gobbler’s Run benefitting the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club will be held the morning of Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26. See article in this week’s Gazette for details.

*The Wake Forest Children’s Choir Holiday Concert will present an evening of holiday songs and carols at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre on Brooks Street Monday, Nov. 30, beginning at 6 p.m. It is free and everyone is welcome.

*The Lighting of Wake Forest from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, in Centennial Plaza on Brooks Street will officially signal the beginning of the holiday season. See all the details in this week’s issue.

*A Walk Through Bethlehem, Wake Forest Presbyterian Church’s annual gift to the community, will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 4, 5 and 6, at the church on Capital Boulevard. The times are Friday, 6 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, 6 to 9 p.m.; and Sunday, 5 to 8 p.m. It is free and everyone is welcome.

*The Downtown Merchants’ Holiday Open House will feature special offers and sales along with performances and special events all day Saturday, Dec. 5.

*A Joyful Collective Christmas Concert at Binkley Chapel on the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary campus will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, with doors opening at 6:30. This is a free concert for the community.

*The Free Spirits Ensemble of the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra will perform Santa’s Gifts to the Monsters Sunday, Dec. 6, at 3 p.m. at the Alston-Massenburg Center. This is a free event. See description in this week’s issue.

*The Wake Forest Community Christmas Dinner will be held Monday, Dec. 7, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at The Forks Cafeteria. The $15 tickets are available at the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce, the Wake Forest Weekly and the Wake Forest Historical Museum.

*Santa will be calling Thursday, Dec. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Mrs. Claus will help him. Register now for the free local calls. See this issue for how to give your favorite child a special gift.

*A Live Nativity will be on display Thursday and Friday, Dec. 10 and 11, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each night at the Corporate Chaplains of America headquarters along the N.C. 98 bypass just west of South Main Street. Admission is a new toy or a canned good for the local ministry, With Love from Jesus. There will be drawings each night with the winners announced at a later time for a free two-night stay at a Myrtle Beach hotel and gift cards for local businesses. The address is also 1300 Corporate Chaplain Drive off Siena Drive.

*The Best Christmas Pageant Ever will be presented by Forest Moon Theater at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre Dec. 11 through 13 at 7:30 p.m. with a 3 p.m. matinee Dec. 13. Tickets are available at the Renaissance Centre.

*The Wake Forest Christmas Parade will circle through downtown at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12.
