*The Wake Forest Farmers Market will be open its regular summer hours, 8 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, April 12, in the parking lot behind CVS.

* The Wake Forest Police Department’s Carnival for the Kids runs through Sunday, April 13. See article in this issue for all the details.

*The Wake Weekly’s Health & Wellness Expo will be held Thursday, April 10, from 1 to 7 p.m. at The Factory on South Main Street with a host of exhibitors. It is free and open to the public.

*The 34th Trentini Foundation Banquet will be held Saturday, April 12, at 6 p.m. at The Forks Cafeteria. See details in this week’s issue.

*HerbFest will return to Festival Park at 525 South White Street on two weekends – April 19-21 and April 26-28. Gardeners and flower lovers will find a wide selection of organic herbs, heritage tomatoes and other vegetables as well locally grown perennials. There is also live entertainment and fun activities for children and adults.

*The Old Campus Trek, a day when current Wake Forest University students and faculty and alumni from across the state and nation return to the university’s roots in Wake Forest, is scheduled for Saturday, April 26. Although much of the activity will be centered on the Wake Forest Historical Museum, the Calvin Jones House and the nearby campus, there will be a number of visitors to downtown and throughout the town.

*Six Sundays in Spring, the series of six free outdoor concerts in E. Carroll Joyner Park, will begin Sunday, April 27, with The Hot at Nights as the featured act. See more information in this week’s issue.

*Meet in the Street will feature Hurricane hockey players, food trucks, a beer garden, live music, a children’s carnival and over 100 artists and artisans in downtown Wake Forest from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 3.

*The Wake Forest Bazaar, a large community yard sale or bazaar or outdoor market, will debut Saturday, May 10, from 8 a.m. to noon at Festival Park on South White Street. Plans are to hold it every second and fourth Saturdays through the summer.

*The fourth Historic Wake Forest Cemetery Tour will take place Saturday, May 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.

*The Mad Hatter’s Garden Party sponsored by the Wake Forest Garden Club will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 10, on the grounds of the Wake Forest Historical Museum. There will be an art and garden market, a classic car show, tea and garden seminars and raffles with prizes that include garden art and jewelry. See more details in future issues.

*The Wake Forest Relay for Life will be held Saturday, May 17, at Heritage High School. See more details in future issues.

*The Classic & Antique Charity Car Show will be held Saturday, June 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. along South White Street with a rain date of June 21. This is a free event; registration for cars is $20 the day of the show.

*Freedom Run, a 5K run sponsored by the Wake Forest American Legion Auxiliary, will be held Saturday, June 21. See details in this week’s issue.
