*The Wake Forest Farmers Market will be open in Renaissance Plaza on Brooks Street from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 28.

*A Night of Comedy jointly sponsored by the Wake Forest High School Band Boosters and the Wake Forest Rotary Club will be held Saturday, Feb. 28, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Renaissance Centre on Brooks Street. See article in this issue for other details including tickets.

*The Wake Forest Town Board will hold its regular monthly work session Tuesday, March 3, at 5:30 p.m. in the Wake Forest Town Hall’s second-floor meeting room.

*The Wake Forest Planning Board will hold its monthly meeting Tuesday, March 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the second-floor meeting room of the Wake Forest Town Hall on Brooks Street.

*The Wake Forest Town Board will hold a closed session at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, to review the applicants for the position of town manager, and at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, they will meet in open session in the second-floor meeting room of Wake Forest Town Hall to hold a work session about the Capital Improvements Plan update.

*The Wake Forest High School Junior ROTC Booster Club will host the second annual Battalion Bazaar on Saturday, March 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the gym at Wake Forest High School.

*The Reverse Raffle sponsored by the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce will be held Friday, March 20, at the Renaissance Center on Brooks Street.

*Hometown Teams: How Sports Shape America, a traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution, will be at the Wake Forest Historical Museum on North Main Street from April 16 through May 31. This is one of only five North Carolina museums selected to host the exhibit, which is free and will be open to the public every day during the exhibit.

*The First Annual Spring Sing sponsored by the Northeast Piedmont Chorale and St. Catherine f Siena Catholic Church will be held Saturday, April 18. Singer registration ends Saturday, Feb. 18. There will be an all-day workshop ending in a free concert at 4 p.m. at the church. See this issue for more details.

*A reception to honor retiring Wake Forest Town Manager Mark Williams will be held Sunday, April 19, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Renaissance Centre on Brooks Street.

*Tarheel Traveler Scott Mason from WRAL-TV will be at the Wake Forest Historical Museum Sunday, May 3, for a free public program as part of the Hometown Teams exhibit.
