*The Wake Forest Farmers Market will be open in Renaissance Plaza on Brooks Street from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 31.

*The Koinonia Foundation will hold its only fundraiser, the annual Koinonia Cares Charity Auction, on Saturday, Feb. 7, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at The Forks Cafeteria. See this issue for information about donations and tickets.

*Shop til late and enjoy free refreshments and carriage rides Friday, Feb. 13, from 5 to 9 p.m. during the monthly Art After Hours.

*Wake Forest’s Mardi Gras Festival will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, from 11 a.m. to  4 p.m. all over the historic downtown area. The day will be filled with activities for families and people of all ages.

*The Reverse Raffle sponsored by the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce will be held Friday, March 20, at the Renaissance Center on Brooks Street.

*Hometown Teams: How Sports Shape America, a traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution, will be at the Wake Forest Historical Museum on North Main Street from April 16 through May 31. This is one of only five North Carolina museums selected to host the exhibit, which is free and will be open to the public every day during the exhibit.

*Tarheel Traveler Scott Mason from WRAL-TV will be at the Wake Forest Historical Museum Sunday, May 3, for a free public program as part of the Hometown Teams exhibit.
