*The Wake Forest Farmers Market will be open in Renaissance Plaza on Saturday, July 16, with its regular spring, summer and fall hours, 8 a.m. to noon.

*A Mobile N.C. DMV Driver’s License Unit will return to the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre Annex on Brooks Street on Monday, July 18, and will be on site from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

*Monday Night Bingo at The Factory is hosted by the Wake Forest Kiwanis Club in the Mill Room from 7 to 9:30 p.m. All profits support the club’s projects for children. Visit www.wakeforestbingo.com for more information.

*Neck of the Woods will be back at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre on Brooks Street on Friday, July 15, for a variety performance. See this week’s issues for all details.

*Hope House at 334 North Allen Road will celebrate the completion of its indoor/outdoor room pavilion on Saturday, July 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with music, water games, food and fun. Everyone is invited.

*The Summer Wake Forest Food Truck Rodeo will roll into town and set up in the Renaissance Plaza parking lot on Brooks Street Sunday, July 17, and will welcome visitors and eaters from noon to 4 p.m.

*The Forest of Wake StoryFest with storytelling workshops and open mic will take place Saturday, Aug. 6, from noon to 9 p.m. at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre for the Arts on Brooks Street. Daniel M. Blaisdell, Lona Bartlett and Donna Washington will be featured.

*The Wake Forest Purple Heart Dinner will be held Saturday, Aug. 6, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in a new location, the Richland Creek Community Church on Burlington Mills Road. Go to www.WakeForestPurpleHeartFoundation.org for information about the group.

*The first Wake Forest Home & Garden Show hosted by the Renaissance Centre will take place Saturday and Sunday, August 13 and 14. The hours will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday. A variety of exhibits and workshops will be offered. Contact Anna Bolton – abolton@wakeforestnc.gov – to reserve a booth.

*Pet owners are looking forward to Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 24 and 25, when the fourth annual Dirty Dogs Pet Extravaganza will take place in E. Carroll Joyner Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. One of the events will be the Ultimate Air Dogs competition and show.
