*Freedom Songs: The Music of Black History  will be presented by Bright Star Touring Theatre on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. in the Renaissance Centre on Brooks Street.

*Neck of the Woods will return to the Renaissance Centre Friday, Feb. 19, beginning at 7 p.m. for a variety performance featuring local artists.

*The Wake Forest Farmers Market will be open in Renaissance Plaza on Saturday, Feb. 20, with its usual winter hours, 10 a.m. to noon.

*A Relay for Life team rally supporting the American Cancer Society will be held Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 6:30 p.m. at The Factory on South Main Street.

*A Night of Comedy will be presented by the Wake Forest Rotary Club and the Wake Forest High School Band Boosters on Saturday, Feb. 27, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre. See information about tickets and attractions in this week’s issue.

*Want to try for $10,000? Buy tickets to the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Reverse Raffle on Thursday, March 17, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Renaissance Centre. The $125 tickets to admit two people are on sale now and include heavy hors d’oeuvres and dessert, beer and wine. See a chamber member or call 919-556-1519 to buy a ticket. Act fast because only 300 tickets will be sold.

*A Senior Lifestyle Expo hosted by the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce and Carillon Senior Living will be held Tuesday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Richland Creek Community Church on Burlington Mills Road.

*Meet in the Street, Wake Forest’s popular spring street festival, will take over downtown streets on Saturday, May 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

*The annual Wake Forest Cemetery Tour will take place Saturday, May 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It is free to all comers interested in the history and the people in the town cemetery on North White Street.

*The Mad Hatters Tea Party & Art Market, the Wake Forest Garden Club’s major fundraising activity, will be held Saturday, May 14, at the Wake Forest Historical Museum, 414 North Main Street. Shop the market or buy tickets for the tea and garden seminars.

*The annual Used Book Sale by the Friends of Wake Forest Public Library will be held Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Ledford Center on North Wingate Street.
