Karen E. Boyd

Karen E. Boyd, 54, of Wake Forest died Saturday evening, August 16, 2014, at her residence. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky, the daughter of John Everton and the late Estelle Cruse Everton.

Funeral services will be held at 4 o’clock Thursday afternoon, August 21, 2014, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home.

Mrs. Boyd is survived by her husband, Dewayne Boyd; daughter, DeAnna Stojan and husband, James, of Raleigh; sons, Paul Boyd and wife, Dawn, of Thousand Oaks, California, and Daniel Boyd; her father, John Everton; brother, Rick Everton of Lexington, Kentucky; and grandchildren, Andrew Boyd, Lydia Stojan, Bethany Boyd, Luke Boyd and Isaac Stojan.

Memorial contributions may be made to Living Word Family Church, 10520 Star Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587.

Friends may visit with the family from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at Bright funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 South Main St., Wake Forest.

James Aaron Pearson

James Aaron Pearson, 73, of Wake Forest, loving husband, father and grandfather, died Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Rex Hospital. He was born in Brunswick County, Virginia, the son of the late Jessie Moody Pearson and John Henry Pearson. Mr. Pearson was a dedicated employee at Leith, Inc.

Funeral services were held at 11 o’clock Tuesday morning, August 19, 2014, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Merritt officiating. Burial was in the Philadelphia United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lawrenceville, Virginia.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Bright Pearson; daughters, Sheila Kiser (Ron) of Jamestown, Crystal Schicker (Mark) of Greensboro and Jessica Schmidt (Daniel) of Wendell; a brother, Charles Pearson of Chesapeake, Virginia; and grandchildren, Ryan and Ashley Kiser, Owen and Avery Schmidt, Pearson and Brittyn Schicker. He was preceded in death by a son, James Michael Pearson, and by a sister, Mary Frances Robben.

Harry W. Vanderbach

Harry Walter Vanderbach, 75, of Raleigh died Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Hillside Nursing Center. Harry was born in Hudson County, New Jersey, the son of the late Harry Walter Vanderbach and Clara Duhne Vanderbach. He was a member of Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and was retired from CertainTeed (HagerstownMaryland) in 2006 after a long career in labor relations.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at 10 o’clock Saturday morning, August 16, 2014, at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Burial was in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Vanderbach is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Susan Vanderbach; children, Skip Vanderbach and wife, Judy, of Manassas, Virginia, and Kate Larimer and husband, Scott, of Wake Forest; grandchildren, Victoria and Sean Vanderbach and A.J. and Amelia Larimer; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathryn Wilhide-Baker.

Faye Mitchell Doby

Faye Mitchell Doby, 78, of Raleigh died Thursday, August 14, 2014, at WakeMed. She was born in Wake County and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Vera Perry Mitchell.

Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, August 19, 2014, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Randy Bridges officiating.

Mrs. Doby is survived by her husband of 60 years, William P. “Bill” Doby; sons, Alvin Doby and wife, Kathi, of Raleigh and Rick Doby of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Allison Doby of Raleigh and Chad Doby and wife, Tara, of Willow Springs; sister, Annie Grey Richards of Youngsville; brothers, Bill Mitchell, Neal Mitchell and Curtis Mitchell, all of Rolesville and Willie Gray Mitchell of Youngsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Mitchell Coffey.
