          Jimmie D. Ray Youngsville Jimmie D. Ray, 69, of Youngsville passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Duke University Medical Center. He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Annie Harris Ray and Jessie Garvie Ray Sr., and was retired from Lufkin Rule Co. in Apex. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 Wednesday evening, September 7, 2016, at New Life Church, 6900 Zebulon Road, Wake Forest, with the Rev. Ron Brisson officiating. Friends may visit with the family following the service. Mr. Ray is survived by his former wife, Lawana Williams; his brother, Donald J. “Bubba” Ray and his wife, Ann, of Youngsville; step-daughter, Lorraine Wade of Raleigh; granddaughter, Brandy Day; nephews, Gerald Wayne Ray of Raleigh and David Marshall Jr. of Youngsville; niece, Kathy Nicole Averett of Youngsville; six great-nieces and great-nephews; and several aunts and uncles.
