Sylvia Ethel Grillo Wake Forest Sylvia Ethel Grillo, 84, of Wake Forest passed away Thursday evening, June 25, 2015, at her home. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Hartley Philp and Lily Jane Gill Philp. Sylvia was a resident of Wake Forest for nine years.  She enjoyed traveling in her retirement years including numerous states, the Caribbean and a trip to England to see the towns where her parents were born. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015, in the Chapel of Chapel Hill Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 11333 South Central Avenue, Oak Lawn, Illinois. Burial will follow in the cemetery. Mrs. Grillo is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Nowoc and husband, Bob, of Wake Forest and Cynthia Halley and husband, Russ, of Coloma, Michigan; son, Jack McGreehin and wife, Lauren, of New Lenox, Illinois; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
