Michael Holop Jr. Michael Holop Jr., 79, of Wake Forest passed away Monday, July 28, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Slovakia to the late Michael Holop Sr. and Elizabeth Scilacgy Holop. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at a later date at St. Raphael’s the Archangel Catholic Church in Raleigh. Mr. Holop is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lillian Rezas Holop; children, Michael Martin Holop, Loretta Ann Skowronsky of Currie, Sandra Marie Holop of Wake Forest and Debra Marie Staimpel of Raleigh; grandchildren, Rachel Ann Skowronsky of Greenville, Heather Ann Staimpel of Plano, Texas, and Joshua Martin Staimpel of Raleigh; and brothers, Walter Holop and Albert Holop both of Cleveland, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ludwig Holop. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
