You’re invited to join Mayor Vivian Jones for the 2022 State of the Town Address & Dinner on Monday, Feb. 21, at 6 p.m. Presented by the Wake Forest Rotary Club, the event will take place at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St.
During her remarks, Mayor Jones will reflect on the successes and challenges of the Wake Forest community over the past year. She will also outline the goals the town will strive towards in 2022.
Advance tickets are $15 per person and include a catered meal and dinner music by the Heritage High School Jazz Ensemble. Tickets can be purchased online with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit card at https://bit.ly/WFStateofTown. Tickets may also be purchased at the Renaissance Centre Box Office with cash, check or credit card. A processing fee will be added to the cost of any ticket purchased with a credit card. Please note: A limited number of tickets are available, so the event is expected to sell out. Dress for the occasion is business casual.
Anyone wishing to attend the program portion of the event only – without eating dinner – is not required to purchase a ticket. Non-ticket buyers are invited to arrive between 6:30 and 6:45 p.m. at the conclusion of the dinner portion of the program. The mayor’s address typically begins between 6:45 and 7 p.m.
Mayor Jones’ State of the Town Address will be recorded and replayed on Wake Forest TV 10 throughout March. It will also be available in streaming video on the Town website at www.wakeforestnc.gov

Does anyone else see the irony of it being a state of the town of WAKE FOREST dinner but the WAKE FOREST HIGH school band never plays at these things every year?
The whole town use to attend WF High.
I heard there’s something like 8 bus loads of kids from Raleigh being bused in now. Is that the problem? Too many Raleigh kids?
I don’t have kids at either school, but it doesn’t seem right the kids at WF are never given a chance to perform at these events.
Did the Rotary Club or the town pick the band?
in reply to Amy and Margaret, I don’t understand why any band is invited to perform at the State of the Town Dinner. It is a small-ish room and the band is so loud and plays most of the time that you cannot even have a conversation with those at the same table. Maybe an unamplified string trio or quartet would be more appropriate if we have to have music.
