Dunlap Center for Caring. She was born in Wake County to the late James H. Perry and Euna Morris Perry Newton.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Horton retired from Westinghouse\/ABB\/Elster after 37 years of service where she manufactured electrical meters, oversaw the repairs process and final meter testing. She enjoyed bluegrass music, however cooking was her passion and she often helped lift people\u2019s spirits with her many dishes. Mrs. Horton was a member of Ransdell Chapel Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Horton\u2019s funeral was held Friday afternoon, July 21, 2017, at Ransdell Chapel Baptist Church and burial was in the church cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Horton is survived by her children, John W. Blackwell Jr. and wife, Tammy, of Apex and Cyndi Blackwell of Garner; step-children, Lisa Johnson and husband, Timmy, of Louisburg and Terry Horton and wife, Terry, of Wake Forest; brother, Charles Perry and wife, Nancy, of Holly Springs; grandchildren, Brittany Blackwell Canfield and husband, Kyle, and John W. \u201cTrey\u201d Blackwell III; many nieces, nephews and extended family. Born September 5, 1961 in Saint Jean D&#8217;angely, France to Janus and Hanka Winiarski, Elisabeth was known to siblings and old friends as &#8220;Betty&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Elisabeth was a loving wife for 20 years to Brad Waybright and devoted mother to Chloe Waybright.<\/p>\n<p>Elisabeth touched countless lives in northern Wake County as a teacher at Millbrook High School, Franklinton High School, and most recently Wake Technical Community College. Elisabeth&#8217;s passion for helping students included work with blind students and tutoring numerous children for friends and neighbors. Elisabeth loved time spent with her friends in fitness classes, walking or biking the local nature trails, and simply enjoying good company over a glass of wine.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are her husband and daughter, siblings Mark Winiarski of West Chester Pennsylvania, Christine Erikson of Dover, Massachusetts, and Andre Winiarski of Foster City, California.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, all who loved Elisabeth please contribute or join Chloe and Brad at the Triangle area &#8220;Out of the Darkness Walk&#8221; in Durham on Saturday, October 7, 2017. Born July 29, 1982 in Colorado to William and Anna Mancin O\u2019Brien, Barbara was an avid historical re-enactor. He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Lenward and Josephine Davis. He was a former volunteer firefighter at Stony Hill Fire Department and was retired from General Electric and later from IBM.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral services will be held at 3 o\u2019clock Friday afternoon, July 28, 2017, at Stony Hill Baptist Church.
