The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Agency in conjunction with the Durham Chapel Hill Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization and the North Carolina Department of Transportation will host public workshops about the NC 98 Corridor Study on Thursday, April 12, in Wake County and Monday, April 16, in Durham County.
The April 12 meeting will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Wake Forest Historical Museum on North Main Street, Wake Forest. The April 16 meeting will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Durham East Regional Library, 211 Lick Creek Lane in Durham.
The 27-mile N.C. 98 Corridor extends from U.S. 70 in Durham County through Wake County to U.S. 401 in Franklin County. The corridor study will evaluate safety and congestion, planned and existing roads, bicycle/pedestrian facilities and transit uses of N.C. 98.
Both meetings will have an informal, open house-style format, so there will not be a formal presentation. Attendees may come any time during those hours to view the conceptual designs and ask questions.
