In June the Wake Forest Inspections Department issued permits for 70 new home – 53 single-family homes, 16 townhouses and one mobile home. There was also a fit-up for a Starbucks at 1720 Retail Drive and pre-occupancy inspections for Brios Media Group at 1768 Heritage Center Drive, Suite 203, and Heritage Title at 1776 Heritage Center Drive, Suite 201.
The mobile home was placed at 102 Deerfield Crossing, paying $240 for a 924-square-foot home valued at $50,000. Lennar Carolinas will build one townhouse at 1824 Austin Ridge Parkway in Austin Creel subdivision; Terramor Homes will build three townhouses on Brunello Drive in the Siena Townhomes subdivision on NC 98 Bypass; and Stanley Martin Companies will build 12 townhouses on Triumph Drive in the Retreat at Renaissance subdivision on South Franklin Street and Brooks Street. Together the townhouses paid $23,978.72 in fees and will add $2,381,991 to the town’s tax base.
