In July the Wake Forest Inspections Department approved permits for 54 single-family homes, 16 townhouses and one duplex for a total of 72 new homes.
The department also conducted fit-up and pre-occupancy inspections for these new businesses: NC Retina Association at 3113 Rogers Road, First Watch Restaurant at 2808 Rogers Road, Dr. Marisa Napoli Dentistry at 941 Gateway Commons Circle, E-Commerce (Arts and Crafts Supplies) at 5115 Unicon Drive, The Hemp Store at 1002 Durham Road and RPM Media at 2780 Heritage Center Drive.
The duplex will be built by Southeast Contracting Group Inc. at 618 East Pine Avenue. They paid $2,899.75 in fees for a 2,031-square-foot building that will add $125,000 to the tax base.
Twelve of the townhouses will be built by Stanley Martin Companies on Triumph Lane in the Retreat at Renaissance subdivision off the new portion of Brooks Avenue linking Elm Avenue and East Holding Avenue. The other four townhouses will be built by Terramor Homes on Brunello Drive in the Siena Townhouse subdivision on the Dr. Calvin Jones Highway (NC 98 Bypass). Together the townhouse builders paid $23,089.50 in fees and the townhouses will add $2,322,640 to the town’s tax base.
