Tournament will aid Wounded Warriors

On Saturday, July 26, Paschal Golf Club will hold a Four Chance Hole in One golf tournament to support the Wounded Warrior Project.

Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) serves veterans and their families who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, co-incident to their military service on or after September 11, 2001.

Sept. 11 served as a stimulus for many warriors to volunteer for the military. This group includes veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom (Iraq began March 19, 2003, and officially ended August 31, 2010); Operation Enduring Freedom, operations in Afghanistan and other regions in support of the war on terror; and Operation New Dawn (operations in Iraq beginning September 1, 2010, and ending Deft.,cember 15, 2011).

The mission of WWP is to honor and empower Wounded Warriors. WWP is the hand extended to encourage warriors as they adjust to their new normal and achieve new triumphs. Offering a variety of programs and services, WWP is equipped to serve warriors with every type of injury – from the physical to the invisible wounds of war.

Wounded Warrior Project takes a holistic approach when serving warriors and their families to nurture the mind and body. Through a high touch and interactive approach, WWP hopes to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history. More information is available at https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/mission/who-we-serve.aspx.
