The Gazette has a new advertiser; join him

The Wake Forest Gazette has a new advertiser, expRealty with Broker Ron Carter.
Ron tells you how he ended up in Wake Forest in the real estate business:
A native of Virginia, I moved to Raleigh in the mid-90s to work as an elementary school teacher. After a few years, I started looking for my “starter home” and delved into the world of real estate. During this period, I discovered a strong passion for the industry. Conversations with my broker sparked discussions about a potential career switch. After a chance meeting with him at the beach, I took the leap into becoming a real estate agent.
“As an agent, I relished the opportunities it brought. Being somewhat of a conversationalist, I loved hearing people share their stories with me. My cornerstone business philosophy revolved around building relationships rather than focusing solely on sales. The bustling Triangle real estate market was exciting, especially when working with first-time home buyers. Drawing from my own experience as a first-time homebuyer, I could empathize with them through the multifaceted process. Unexpectedly, more changes were on the horizon despite my transition to real estate.
“The birth of my first son led me to transition into the corporate world, tapping back into my educational background. My work primarily revolved around adult education, concentrating on software implementation and training. Being a teacher and mentor has always resonated with me, particularly the opportunity to share knowledge and experiences. During my time in the corporate sector, my second son was born, and as children often do, both have now grown into young men and are in college.
“However, the winds of change blew once more, prompting the question of where our lives as empty nesters would unfold. Having spent a significant 17 years in North Raleigh, forming close bonds with neighbors who became family, finding a comparable setting seemed challenging. Our multi-year exploration led us to Wake Forest. We were captivated by the community ambiance, the historical charm, and the continuous growth of the area. At that point, we chose to custom-build our “forever home,” completing construction in 2021. We’ve enjoyed discovering our new town, often frequenting places like Packhouse Coffee, Don Julios, and The Burger Shoppe.
“Now, the cyclical nature of life has allowed me to return to my original passion, real estate. I’m excited to reconnect with former colleagues and clients, as well as meet and assist my new neighbors in Wake Forest.”
Advertising in the Gazette is a bargain — $100 a month, the ability to quit at any time, faithful readers and the only local newspaper dedicated to just Wake Forest. It has been in existence 20 years, the years that saw – and continue to see – enormous growth and includes the drought year of 2007 just after the town sold its water and sewer systems to Raleigh. You will get town history and town facts. You will learn about our mayor and commissioners. And you can scroll back or jump back through the years to find past articles.
And subscriptions are always free.
