If you love the best in beach music, then don’t miss the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre’s “Summer Beach Music Party” featuring The Chairmen of the Board on Saturday, June 6, at 7:30 p.m.
Formed in Detroit, Michigan in the 1960’s, The Chairmen of the Board has been a crowd-pleasing soul and beach music favorite for over 30 years. Best known for such hits as “Give Me Just A Little More Time,” “(You’ve Got me) Dangling on a String,” “Patches,” “Pay to the Piper,” “Carolina Girls,” “Everything is Tuesday,” and “I’d Rather Be in Carolina,” the group was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame in 1999.
Advance tickets are on sale for $15 each (plus tax) and going fast. Tickets may be purchased online atwww.wakeforestrencen.org/tickets-events with a Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit card. Tickets may also be purchased at the Renaissance Centre box office with cash, check or credit card. Box office hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m.
This event is expected to sell out, so anyone interested in attending is encouraged to purchase their tickets early.
The Summer Beach Music Party will include a cash bar serving beer and wine.
