This Saturday, given all the unsettled weather, you may find only cabbage when you look for greens and vegetables at the Wake Forest Farmers Market. But as surely as the sun inches a bit north on the horizon every morning, which it does, spring and all its goodies will be coming soon.
But the market, which is open from 10 a.m. to noon in the Renaissance Plaza on Brooks Street, will have other vendors where you can find breads, baked goods of all kinds, cheese, soap, honey and honey products, eggs and all kinds of meats. Fair weather Saturday may bring out more vendors and more shoppers, so go early.
The market will be open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon through March. It will return to summer hours, 8 a.m. to noon, in April.
See the market on Facebook, take a look at all the vendors and their wares as well as special events at www.wakeforestfarmersmarket.org or call 919-671-9269 if you need information.
