The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department will sponsor a free Special Needs Resource Fair on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Richland Creek Community Church at 3229 Burlington Mills Road.
The event will include over 25 professional vendors that specialize in providing to children and adults with special needs an array of services, including therapeutic, health and wellness, educational, recreational, music, financial and legal. The fair is designed to offer local families the opportunity to learn about dozens of programs, services, products and resources – all in one location.
“As the needs and demands of residents with special needs continue to grow, the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department is committed to working diligently to continue meeting those needs,” PRCR Director Ruben Wall said.
Local businesses and non-profits scheduled to participate include The Miracle League of the Triangle, Brain Balance, Allied Rehab, Bowman Family Services, North Wake Eye Care, Triangle Pediatric Dentistry, Ability Prosthetics, The Grain Mill, Shepherd Youth Ranch, Wake County Special Education Services Family & Community Connections Office, Gifts NC Homeschool Support Group, All Saints Academy, Bridges & Beyond Inclusion Preschool, Wake County Public School System Preschool Services, AXA Advisors, ACI Support Specialist, Inc., A Small Miracle, Alliance Behavioral Health, The Arc of The Triangle, Triangle Down Syndrome Network, Wake County Autism Society, Triangle Parent Navigator, GCF Family Support Network, Hope Services, Voices Together, Richland Creek Special Needs Ministry, Camp G.R.A.C.E, Town of Wake Forest Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources, and Kerr YMCA Inclusion Services.
