Run raised $35,000 for Boys & Girls Club

Organizer Cat Redd reported this week that the ninth annual Gobbler’s Run, the Thanksgiving morning race that welcomes impassioned runners, walkers, children in strollers and dogs, raised $35,000 for the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club.

“It was great! We had almost 2,000 registrants despite the cold rain. This year’s donation will bring the total amount donated to the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club from this event to over $200,000.” The run is sponsored by Chiropractic Partners.

Redd said several race participants were also winners. “Sole Dimensions gave away $500 in gift certificates; Spoke Cycles gave away a $500 bicycle; Camp Gladiator gave every medal winner a free four-week session!”

The bronze sponsors for the event are Buffalo Brothers, Mike Baer with Edward Jones, The Jim Allen Group, Qualilty Plus Automotive, PowerSecure, Run N Tri Outfitters, Spoke Cycles and The Wake Weekly.
