The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department is accepting registrations for 2019 Summer Swim Lessons. Online registration is available on a first-come, first-serve basis until all slots are filled at http://bit.ly/wfswimlessons.
Only online registrations will be accepted. Anyone wishing to register who does not have internet access is invited to sign up using the kiosks in the lobby of the Wake Forest Town Hall, 301 South Brooks Street, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Computer kiosks are also available for public use at the following locations:
* Flaherty Park Community Center, 1226 North White Street
* Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
* Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
* Sundays, 1 to 5 p.m.
* Alston-Massenburg Center, 416 North Taylor Street
* Monday through Friday, 2 to 8 p.m.
* Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
* Sundays, 1 to 5 p.m.
The cost is $40 for Wake Forest residents who reside within the town limits and $80 for non-Wake Forest residents. Payments can be made with debit card, MasterCard and Visa.
Swim lesson sessions will be provided for preschoolers (ages 3 through 5) and beginners (ages 6 and above) in June, July and August. To view the complete schedule, visit http://bit.ly/wfswimlessons.
Classes will meet Monday through Thursday for one week, 45 minutes per day. Swim lessons are provided by a single instructor for groups with a minimum of two students and a maximum of four participants per class.
All sessions will take place at Holding Park Aquatic Center, 133 West Owen Avenue. Classes will be conducted rain or shine and canceled only in the event of thunderstorms and/or lightning. For more information about Holding Park Aquatic Center, visit wakeforestnc.gov and search “Aquatic Center.”
