A team rally to prepare for the annual Relay for Life will take place Thursday, May 12, at 7 p.m. at the Wake Forest Baptist Church’s Stephenson Campus at 12120 Wake Union Church Road in Wake Forest. Everyone who has cancer, has beat cancer or has a friend or family member who has cancer or is a cancer survivor is invited to attend.
The annual Relay for Life will be run Friday, May 20, from 4 p.m. to midnight also at the Stephenson Campus. Relay for Life is now recruiting teams from schools, families, places of worship, neighborhoods, businesses, and other groups to participate in the May 20 event. Relay is not a race – it is a family event where team members take turns walking in honor of those who have battled cancer. Relay teams are committed to finishing the fight against cancer and raise funds to support the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving mission.
