Be a part of the Arbor Day Expo

The Wake Forest Urban Forestry Board is inviting local service-oriented organizations to participate in the second annual Arbor Day Expo on Saturday, March 22. The event will be held at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road. In the event of inclement weather, the expo will be moved to the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St.

The Arbor Day Expo is a family-friendly event featuring a variety of service-oriented civic groups, nonprofit organizations and other local associations that promote proper tree care, environmental stewardship and community service. Thousands of local residents attended the 2013 Arbor Day Expo, so the Urban Forestry Board is seeking to expand the event this year.

Groups interested in participating in the Arbor Day Expo must be approved by the Urban Forestry Board. Selected organizations will be provided with booth space and refreshments – at no cost.

For more information about the 2014 Arbor Day Expo or to apply to participate, contact Urban Forester Evan Keto at 919-435-9565 or eketo@wakeforestnc.gov.
