The Wake Forest Inspections Department issued only 16 permits for single-family homes in November, which may be a new low not seen in decades. Two of the 16 were for homes on lots in the Northeast community, which is experiencing a wave of gentrification.

Moffat Contracting Services will construct a new building for Sunbelt Rentals at 5228 Unicon Drive in the Smith Creek basin. The fees paid were $10,095, the building will have 5,000 square feet and the improvement value is $795,000.
