Robert F. Wells Jr.

Raleigh

Robert F. Wells, Jr. of Raleigh, NC passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2023.

He was born October 25, 1960 in Cheverly, Maryland to Marjorie and Robert Wells Sr.

He grew up in Camp Springs, Maryland and spent his early teenage years with close friends and his dad at Rosecroft Horse Racing Track, where his love for beating the odds grew from. He loved making other people laugh no matter the cost. He lived his life with a passion to be happy. He always had his sister, Terry’s back. He loved going to Nascar racing with his two brother in-laws and was a diehard Redskins fan. He married the love of his life on September 16, 1994, to his beloved wife, Marsha. Friends made bets and odds on how long it would last. Those friends bet on anything! They all lost that bet. Rob not only gained a wife that day but also gained two beautiful children, Steve and Kristy. He loved them unconditionally. The children grew into adults and got married and we welcomed a son in-law Joe The New Yorker and then his favorite daughter in-law Drea aka Dre Dre into the family. Rob and Marsha moved to Raleigh, North Carolina September 2001, when his favorite grandson Paul was born. Many fun and loving memories from “going in hot squealing tires in the school parking drop off line, to the dirt bike track, to Paul joining the fire department. Rob had four dogs whom he loved cuddling with. His favorite was Cindy Lou Who. She was his therapy dog helping to recover from his first battle with Lung Cancer. We bought an RV and traveled and spent time at the beach with his family, that he called the Beach Locals. We will have a family celebration of life at his son and daughters’ home in Beaufort, North Carolina.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha W ells of Raleigh, North Carolina. Son, Steve Butler and wife Andrea Butler of Beaufort, North Carolina. Daughter, Kristy Molinari and husband Joseph Molinari of Beaufort, North Carolina. His favorite grandson, Paul Molinari of Wake Forest, North Carolina.
