Ronda Mechele Costa

Greenback, Tennessee

Ronda Mechele Costa, 44, of Greenback, Tennessee, formerly of Wendell, passed away peacefully at Methodist Hospital in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, on Wednesday, November 25, 2015. Ronda was born in Durham County and was a graduate of East Wake High School.

Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon, November 29, 2015, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Burial was in the Falls Community Cemetery.

Ronda is survived by her mother, Rita Johnson Richardson; step-father, Ricky Richardson; brothers, Robert Sanders and Kenneth Costa; step-sister, Michelle Brann; step-brothers, Scotty Richardson and Johnny Richardson; uncle, Lesley Johnson; aunt, Donna Brostrom; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nellie and Luther Johnson, and by her uncle, Ralph Johnson.

Pallbearers were John Johnson, Scotty Richardson, Jarad Johnson, Neil Brann, George Puryear, and Brian Brostrom.

Ida Louise Fox Roberts

Rolesville

Ida Louise Roberts, 75, of Rolesville passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at her residence. She was born in Nebraska, the daughter of the late Ruby Hilda Bacon Fox and John Steven Fox. Mrs. Roberts was married to Charles Vance Roberts who preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 11 o’clock Saturday morning, November 28, 2015, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Earnie Taylor officiating. Burial was in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Roberts is survived by her daughter, Dianna K. Johnson of  Franklinton; sons, Donald V. Roberts of  Leesburg, Georgia, and David J. Roberts of  Youngsville; brothers, Julius Fox of Texas, Alfrad Fox of Iowa, James Blincow and Stanley Blincow, both of  Nebraska;  sisters,  Clara Kalita,  Betty Johnson  and  Wilma Vakoc,  all of Nebraska; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oak Grove Baptist Church, P.O. Box 63, Youngsville, NC 27596.

Pallbearers were Frank Johnson IV, Adam Johnson, David Roberts, Donald Roberts, Todd Newsome, and Cary Long.

William S. ‘Bill’ Brewer Jr.

Raleigh

William (Bill) S. Brewer Jr., 69, of Raleigh passed away on November 22, 2015. He was born in Anderson, South Carolina, the son of William and Catherine Brewer. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother Gary.

Bill is survived by his mother Catherine; his wife of 48 years, Pat; daughter, Amy (husband Chris); and by his precious grandchildren, Sarah Grace, Nate, Jake and Josie.  He is also survived by his sister Pat Capell.

Bill graduated from Clemson University and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He made his career in teaching, environmental research and environmental engineering. He retired from Duke as Director of the Environmental Programs in 2014.

Bill loved Clemson football, UNC basketball, golf and fishing. But most of all he loved spending time with his family. He will be forever missed.

A private family service was held on Sunday, November 29, 2015, at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Wake Forest.

Jeanette Mitchell Allen

Youngsville

Jeanette Mitchell Allen, 94, of Youngsville died Tuesday morning, November 24, 2015, at Louisburg Nursing Center. She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late John “Doc” and Bessie Mitchell, and was married to William Joseph “Bill” Allen, who preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, November 28, 2015, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Aaron Long and the Rev. Rodney Harp officiating. Burial was in the Sykes Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her daughter, Candis Adams of  Youngsville; son, John Harp of Youngsville; daughter-in-law, Janie Harp of Wake Forest; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her children, Evelyn Thompson, Betty Sue Harp, and Ralph Harp.

Pallbearers were John Harp Jr., Brian Adams, Jimmy Thompson, William Harp, Carl Thompson, and Johnny Stanley.

Emma Sue Seiber

Youngsville

Emma Sue Seiber, 77, of Youngsville went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Sunday, November 22, 2015, at Rex Hospital. She was born in Coal Creek (now known as Lake City), Tennessee, the daughter of Clarence and Magdeline Brogan Foust. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Foust  Aslinger and Wilma Foust Norman.

Sue is survived by her husband of 59 years, Walter Ray Seiber; son, Geoffrey Ray Seiber (wife Sherri) of Fort Worth, Texas, and daughter, Teresa Seiber Tate (husband Scott)  of Wake Forest; and her precious grandchilden, Timothy Alan Seiber, Colin Michael Tate and Cameron Bradley Tate.

Sue and Walt grew up in East Tennessee around Briceville, Clinton and Lake City. They lived in Roxboro, North Carolina, for many years, and both Geoff and Teresa finished high school there. Sue had many friends and participated in many church-related organizations, such as the Christian Women’s Club. In the early 90’s they moved to Rowlett, Texas, and lived there for over 20 years. During that time Sue and Walt enjoyed living close to their son Geoff and grandson Timothy and made many great memories. In 2008 Sue and Walt returned to North Carolina and were thrilled to be close to their daughter Teresa and grandchildren Colin and Cameron. Sue loved the Lord and her family. She was an outstanding cook and always trying new and innovative recipes. One of her favorite things was having everyone together eating a big meal, with everyone getting exactly the dish that they wanted. Sue also had an amazing green thumb. She and Walt together quickly made every house they lived in a home with beautiful flowers and landscaping. Sue will be missed by everyone’s life that she touched.

 Diana Lou Shuler

Wake Forest

Diana Lou Shuler, 86, of Whispering Pines passed away on November 24, 2015, in Wake Forest at the home of her daughter. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in South Padre Island, Texas.

Diana was born in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Louis and Marie Yarder. She attended Ohio State University and graduated from Davis Business College, Toledo, Ohio. In her younger years, she was very active in many civic organizations and she and her husband, Bill, had a passion for water skiing. After retiring to Whispering Pines, they joined the Country Club of Whispering Pines and could be found on the links often. Diana enjoyed sewing and needle work and especially enjoyed reading. She was a hospital volunteer with toymakers for the past two years. Diana also belonged to PEO, Chapter AZ. Diana and Bill were avid travelers, having visited over 50 countries and 49 states during their time together. Bill, the love of her life, to whom she was married for 63 years, preceded her in death.

Diana is survived by sons, Thomas Scott of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Robert Keith and wife, Anita, of Orlando, Florida; and daughter, Deborah Marie Martin and husband, Matthew, of Wake Forest. Diana was a proud grandmother to five grandsons, Taylor, Mathew, Keith, Bryan, and Adam Shuler, and one granddaughter, Emily Martin.

Wake Forest

Carl Leonard Terry, 84, of Wake Forest died Monday, November 23, 2015, at home surrounded by his family. Carl was born June 19, 1931, in Rockingham County to the late Carl and Julia Garris Terry. Mr. Terry was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 23 years as a non-commissioned officer in charge of aircraft maintenance. He also retired in 1993 as a manager from the former CMC Maintenance Company in Raleigh. Mr. Terry was an avid traveler and reader.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Al Thomas officiating.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Noreen M. DeWitt Terry of Wake Forest; three sons, Steaven Terry and wife, Marcella, of Evansville, Indiana, Craig Terry and wife, Nancy, of Cary, and Robert Terry of Wake Forest; a daughter, Julia Lassiter and husband, Bruce, of Clayton; three grandchildren, Jennifer Spitler and husband, Nicholas, of Pennsylvania, and Rachel and Leah Terry of Indiana; and a brother, Robert Terry of Florida. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gloris Terry.

The family would like to thank Pruitt Hospice along with Cindy and Landon Bowman for their kind care of Carl.

Darryl T. Jones

Creedmoor

Darryl T. Jones, 49, of Creedmoor passed away Monday, November 30, 2015, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Clara Smith Jones and James H. Jones, and was preceded in death by his brother, Travis Jones. Darryl enjoyed riding horses and hanging out with his friends. He was full of life and was a very devoted father to all of his children. Everyone that met him never forgot him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Thursday afternoon December 3, 2015, at Woodland Baptist Church with the Rev. Al Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Darryl is survived by his significant other, Lynn Gooch Hall; his children, Travis Jones and wife, Kristen, Houston “Hootie” Jones, Hannah Jones Norwood and husband, Cody, Rachel “Moo Moo” Jones, Bayle Hall, Mike Hall, and Cheyenne “Taco” Gooch; and an aunt, Tessie Jackson.
