Alexander ‘Alex’ MacPherson

Alexander “Alex” MacPherson, 85, of Wake Forest passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. He was born 1n Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late John and Elizabeth MacPherson. Mr. MacPherson was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a retired intelligence officer with the CIA.
A service celebrating his life will be held 11 o’clock Thursday morning, August 6, 2015, at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
Mr. MacPherson is survived by his wife, Sheila MacPherson; children, Jennifer Abidari and husband, Mehrdad, of Palo Alto, California, Karen Keen and husband, Nathan, of Broad Run, Virginia, and Fiona MacPherson and husband, Hank, of Wake Forest; brothers, Ian MacPherson of Seattle, Washington, and Derek MacPherson of Perth, Scotland; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Eula “Dixie’ Holt

Eula “Dixie” Holt, 94, of Wake Forest passed away peacefully July 29, 2015, at Transitions Life Care in Raleigh. She retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in 1983 with 38 years of service, and while there she made many lifelong friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna and husband, Norman Kawaguchi of Hayward, California; son, John and wife, Marilee Beth Holt of Wake Forest; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters.

Edward Lee ‘Eddie’ Randolph
Raleigh
Eddie Lee Randolph, 84, of Raleigh died Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Wake Medical Center. He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Beatrice Parker Randolph and Robert Lee Randolph. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Randolph.
Eddie attended Broughton High School in Raleigh where he was on the football, basketball and baseball teams and won several state championships. After graduating from Broughton he joined the U.S. Air Force. After being discharged he went to work with the Raleigh Police Department where they sent him to the University of Louisville and he obtained his law enforcement degree.
He retired from the Raleigh Police Department after 35 years of service at the age of 51. After retiring he and his wife traveled around the country numerous times. He was appointed Honorary Lieutenant Governor by Lieutenant Governor James C. Green in September of 1983.
Honoring his request there will not be any services for Eddie but his ashes will be scattered in the Pamlico River.
He is survived by his sons, Kenny D. Randolph of Raleigh and Craig Randolph of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and grandchildren, Shavlik, Senna and Dexter Randolph.
The family wishes to thank the staff of WakeMed for all the great care his last 14 days of life.

Janet Gupton Lee, 72, of Lake Royal passed away Tuesday morning, July 28, 2015, at her residence. She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Iris and Cleasy Gupton, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Gail Abbott, and a brother, Bobby Gupton.
A memorial service honoring her life was held at 11 o’clock Thursday morning, July 30, 2015, at the Lake Royal Pavilion with the Rev. Tom Lamm officiating.
Janet is survived by her husband, Jim Lee; children, Sheila Abbott and husband, Ronnie Boyd, of Wake Forest, Philip Blackley and wife, Carmen, of Creedmoor, Marti Lee Dunn and husband, Jerry, of Butner, Jamie Lee of Lake Royal, and Terri Lee Ferrell of Raleigh; sisters, Ethel Gilliam of Oxford, Carolyn Bolton of Warrenton, and Renee Mangum of Berea; a brother, Billy Gupton of Butner; and five grandchildren.

Andrew Joseph Ronacher

Andrew Joseph Ronacher, 93, of Raleigh passed away Monday, July 27, 2015, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Queens, New York, the son of the late Rose Lindsay Ronacher and Vincent Ronacher.
Mr. Ronacher was a retired command sergeant major of the Army National Guard, and was retired from the City of New York Sanitation Department.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Carollo Ronacher; his children, Maureen Joanos of Islip, New York, A.J. Ronacher and wife, Roxanne, of Chula Vista, California, Nina Ronacher of Raleigh; sisters, Roseanne Maxwell of Clearwater, Florida, Mary Rubio of Commerce, Georgia; a brother, Tom Ronacher of Clearwater, Florida; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Douglas Wayne Bragg, 63, of Raleigh died Friday, July 31, 2015, at WakeMed. Wayne was born in Granville County, the son of the late Frances Newton Bragg and Willie Henry Bragg, Jr., and was a retired engineer with CSX Railroad.
Funeral services were held at 7 o’clock Monday evening, August 3, 2015, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. David Averette officiating.

Timothy J. Chalifour

Timothy Joel “Tim” Chalifour, 62, of Raleigh passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015, at the William Dunlap Center for Caring. He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Josephine and Joey Chalifour, and was a retired operations and systems specialist with the N.C. Department of Justice. Tim was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1972 to 1976 aboard the USS Saratoga. He enjoyed radio-controlled airplanes and was a movie fanatic.
Tim is survived by his sisters, Mary Ann Chalifour Smith of Raleigh, Renee Chalifour St. John of Wake Forest, Frances Chalifour Arnold of Wake Forest, and Margo Chalifour-Gill of Pittsboro.
Because of Tim’s love for animals and his dogs, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to any animal rescue organization.

William Percy “Buster” McGhee, 67, of Butner passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015, at Duke University Hospital. He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Thomas Percy McGhee and Martha Geneva McGhee. Buster was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church and was the retired owner and operator of B&B Mobile Home Service.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, August 5, 2015, at New Light Baptist Church.
Buster is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bea McGhee; daughters, Paula McGhee Talley and husband, Donald, of Oxford and Sandy McGhee Fletcher and husband, John, of Butner; son, Daniel McGhee of Oxford; sisters, Sarah McGhee of Franklinton; grandchildren, Nichole Deane and husband, Riley, Jeremy Temple, and Brooke, Drew and Blake Fletcher; and great-granddaughter, Kylie Deane. He was preceded in death by his son, Billy McGhee.

Phil Cameron Dickerson, 58, of Rolesville died Friday, July 31, 2015, at the Longleaf Neuro-Medical Center in Wilson. Phil was born in Wake County, the son of the late Gladys Cash Dickerson and Samuel M. Dickerson.
