Robert Peter Intemann, 55, of Wake Forest passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015, at UNC Hospital. Mr. Intemann attended prep school in Maine and later received his Bachelor’s degree from Springfield College, Springfield, Massachusetts.
He was a power engineer with CenturyLink and was an avid gardener. Robert was a loving husband, father, son and brother and will be greatly missed.
Mr. Intemann is survived by his wife of 28 years, Joye Lovett Intemann; sons, Jonathan Christian Intemann of Wilmington and Matthew Dylan Intemann of Wake Forest; parents, Robert John Intemann and Evelyn Pavignano Intemann of Raleigh; and sister, Susan Patricia Intemann of Raleigh.
A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Mr. Intemann’s life will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening, March 4, 2015 at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 South Main Street, Wake Forest.
Gerard F. Havill Jr.
Wake Forest
Gerard F. “Jerry” Havill Jr., 86, of Wake Forest went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2015. Jerry was born in Rochester, New York, to the late Florence Cook Havill and Gerard Frederick Havill Sr.
A memorial service honoring Jerry’s life will be held at 11 o’clock Saturday morning, March 7, 2015, at Wake Forest Baptist Church, 118 E. South Avenue, Wake Forest.
Jerry graduated from Brighton High School where he lettered and was given honors in four varsity teams, which inspired a lifelong love of sports. He attended Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. Following undergraduate school he served in the Korean War as a captain in the United States Army. He then pursued an MBA at Indiana University where he met the love of his life, Martha. They were married in 1954 while attending IU and started their life journey together.
He dedicated his life to both his family and to serving his country. He was Senior Marketing Manager for Honeywell’s Aerospace and Defense Group for 28 years and was always very proud of his contribution to the U.S. military. He enjoyed golfing, being a fan to any sport on TV, and joking with loved ones. As he would always jokingly say, “You’re alright … I don’t care what they say about you.”
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Martha (nee Dulaney). Jerry was the proud and supportive father of four children, Gerard III of Peoria, Arizona, (Karen), John of Lima, Peru (Rebecca), Todd of Wayne, New Jersey (Geri); and his beloved daughter, Ann Gozzo (Frank) of Raleigh. He was blessed with 11 grandchildren, Shawn, Megan, Paul, Laura, Mark, Tyler, Todd, Melina, Chelsea, Micah, and Anna Catherine; as well as two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Colton, and one more on the way.

Jean Marshall Johnson

Jean Marshall Johnson, 72, Wake Forest died Thursday, February 26, 2015, at WakeMed. She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Zula Jackson Marshall and Otis Marshall. Mrs. Johnson loved to watch the Carolina Tarheels and the Dallas Cowboys ballgames. She was an avid Johnny Cash fan, and she enjoyed playing card games.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, March 2, 2015, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Faile officiating. Burial was in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by her husband, David Johnson; children, Sammy Johnson (Stephanie), Chris Johnson (Robin), and Jeffrey Johnson (Cher); grandchildren, Samantha, Kayla, Madison, Lizzy and Maverick Johnson, Laura Jean Price; great-grandchildren, Conner and Kaiden Johnson and Charlie Keith; sisters, Dale Moore and Donna Marshall; and brothers, Bob Marshall and Ted Marshall. She was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Marshall.
Pallbearers were Billy Marshall, Ray Todd Taylor, Bert Marshall, Wrenn Joyner, Thomas Parker, and Johnny Fonville.

Paul H. Casey
Louisburg
Paul H. Casey, 79, of Louisburg died Thursday, February 26, 2015, at his residence. He was born in Lenoir county son of the late Lennie Simmons Casey and Carroll Casey.
Paul graduated from Kings Business College in Raleigh and went to work for Carolina Builders Corporation as his first and lifetime job. For 48 and ½ years he worked and was known as the “MONEY MAN.” He started Builders in the business and helped untold numbers throughout his career. He was known in the building industry as a man of few words. He believed in the old-fashioned way of doing business with a “Grunt” and a handshake.
He loved the water and fishing at his encampment at South Creek and welcomed many and all visitors to “Saturday night pot luck dinners” featuring the day’s catch of fresh crabs and various fish and any other creatures offered by the sea and captured by his nets. He was a longtime member of the Wake County Wild Life Club and various other hunting and fellowship groups thru out Eastern North Carolina.
He was a loyal supporter of the NC State Wolfpack Club and rarely ever missed the home football and basketball games.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon March 1, 2015 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Ron Rowe officiating. Burial was in the Bay Leaf Baptist Church Cemetery.
Paul is survived by his wife of 17 years, Ali Watts Casey; his son, Todd Casey, and stepson, Jay Mozingo; brothers, Delbert Casey and wife, Sharon, of Lady Lake, Florida, Blythe Casey and wife, Gwen, of Kinston, Charles Casey and wife, Debra, of Southern Pines; and a well-loved host of nieces, nephews, and their families. He was preceded in death by his wife of 22 years, Janet Casey.

Lewis Carlyle “L.C.” Green, 75, of Wake Forest died Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at the Franklin Manor in Youngsville. He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Edna Bailey Green Stahl and John Carlyle Green. Mr. Green was a retired parts manager at Harmon Volkswagen, Al Smith Buick and with the town of Cary.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, February 28, 2015, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Bill Slater officiating. Burial was in Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh.
He is survived by his wife, Judy H. Green; a son, Byron Green and his wife, Gaynore; grandchildren, Jared, Andrew, Kendall and Madison Green, all of Sterling, Virginia; and a sister, Nina Faye Green of Manteo.
