James ‘Jimmy’ Ross Yager

Knightdale

James “Jimmy” Ross Yager, 75, died Saturday, September 20, 2014. He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Clara Winston Yager and Ross Washington Yager, and was retired from the City of Raleigh Solid Waste Management.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock Thursday afternoon, September 25, 2014, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Yager is survived by his wife, Erlene Wilkes Yager; son, Richard Earl Yager of Raleigh; sisters, Bonnie Holderfield and Tajie Holderfield Norris both of Smithfield; step-daughters, Donna Haynes of Wake Forest and Robbie Southerland of Zebulon; step-son, Michael J. Warren of Wake Forest; one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Yager was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Yager Edwards.

Evelyn A. Pearce

November 23, 1930 – September 20, 2014

Rolesville

Evelyn Averette Pearce, 83, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014. She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Robert and Bessie Averette. Evelyn was a homemaker and a life-long member of Rolesville Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at 3 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, September 23, 2014, at Rolesville Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Randy Bridges officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery,

Evelyn is survived by her son, Kirby and wife, Terry; grandson, Kevin Jones and wife, Beca; granddaughter, Dana Jones; five great-grandchildren, Houston, Kory, Kaelin, Logan and Erin, all of Rolesville; son-in-law, Donald H. Jones; brother-in-law, Duke Perry; sister-in-law, LaRue Richards, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Kenneth V. Pearce; daughter, Paula P. Jones; and by her siblings, R.A. Averette Jr., Pauline Pearce, Euzelia Gulley, Margie Cash, and Jean Perry.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all of the staff at Louisburg Manor for their dedicated and loving care.

Frank D. Daniel, 80, died Wednesday afternoon, September 17, 2014, at his residence. He was born in Vance County, the son of the late https://clippingpathstudio.com/seroquel-online/ Edith Hicks Daniel and Henry Harold Daniel, and was retired from CP&L.

Funeral services were held at 10 o’clock Saturday morning, September 20, 2014, at Franklinton Baptist Church with the Rev. David Averette officiating. Entombment was in the Fairview Cemetery.

Mr. Daniel is survived by his wife, Sue Culler Daniel; sons, Tony Daniel and wife, Teresa, of Youngsville and Dale Daniel and wife, Cheryl, of Clayton; grandchildren, Christian, Ashley and Amy Daniel; and a sister, Margaret Stanley of Henderson.

William Albert “Bill” Williams, 82, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014.

Funeral services were held at 6 o’clock Tuesday evening, September 23, 2014, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Randy Bridges officiating.

Mr. Williams is survived by his daughters, Kathleen Barcomb, Rose Vaughan, and Noel Romanovsky; grandchildren, Jaimey Barton, Kaitlin Barcomb, Taylor Vaughan, Michael Romanovsky, and Derek Romanovsky; and great-grandchildren, Riley and Rees Barton.

Phyllis Rose Harris Strickland

Zebulon

Our sweet mother, Phyllis Rose Harris Strickland, 75, died Tuesday, September 17, 2014, surrounded by her daughters at Wake Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Miller and Claudia Harris and was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Phyllis was sweet and kind to everyone and was loved by all who knew her. She was a strong Christian woman and a faithful servant for the Lord.

Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, September 19, 2014, at Beulah Christian Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Sneed officiating. Entombment was in the church cemetery.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Thomas Strickland; her children, Debra Scarboro and husband, Mike, and Rhonda Langston and husband, Jerry, of Zebulon, Donna Melton and husband, Jeff, of Wake Forest, and Marsha Zobel and husband, Chris, of Louisburg; step-children, Eddie Strickland and Rose Branam of Georgia; grandchildren, Bridget Cusumano and husband, Mike, Paige Melton and fiance’, Aaron Cashwell, Tyler Melton, and Alexis Watt; great-grandchild, Gavin Cusumano; brother, Ronald Harris and wife, Kay; and sister-in-law, Sue Harris.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Harris.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Harris, Reid Cox, Wesley Harris, Ricky Wadford, Kevin Parks, and Logan Parks.
