Joel Lawrence Callihan

Franklinton

Joel Lawrence Callihan, 70, of Franklinton, NC passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 6-8 PM at Bright Funeral Home, 405 S. Main St. Wake Forest, NC 27587.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, May 23, 2024 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Johnny Llerena and Joi Johnsen officiating.

Stephanie Mann Murray

Youngsville

Stephanie Mann Murray, 51, of Youngsville, NC, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

Stephanie was a teacher for Franklin County School System for over 25 years, teaching Pre-K and special need children. She was a long-time member of Vernon Baptist Church in Raleigh and had been recently attending Rock Spring Baptist Church in Louisburg. She graduated from Eastern Carolina University with her bachelor’s degree in Child Phycology and Child Development. In her free time, she enjoyed cross-stitching.

She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister, who was devoted to her family. She will be dearly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Ferrel Mann.

She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Matthew Murray; children, Amanda Grace Murray, Matthew Allen Murray; mother, Rheta Gertrude Mann; siblings, Sybil Mann, Sharon Stanley; and 12 nieces and nephews.

Warren Dale Snyder

Raleigh

Warren Dale Snyder of Raleigh, North Carolina entered into the presence of the Lord on May 17, 2024.

Warren was born in Elkland, PA on May 27, 1938 to Alan J. and R. Irene (Dyer) Snyder. His early years were spent in Pennsylvania and western New York State.

He received his BS in Business Administration from the University of Rochester, Rochester NY, where he also played soccer and was captain of the team in his Senior year.

Warren began his work career in the business field, but soon felt a call to the pastoral ministry.  Warren and his young wife Mary, and baby David traveled west to Pasadena CA where he earned his Master of Divinity degree at Fuller Theological Seminary.

Warren served pastorates in VT, NY and MA.  After 10 years of full-time pastoral work, he continued pastoring in official and unofficial capacities while teaching in the Reading MA Public School System, and on into retirement.

Warren loved people and so many have been touched by his friendship, ministry, counsel and care.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Arlen K. Snyder, and his infant son, Stephen Paul Snyder.

He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Mary C. (Berger) Snyder of Raleigh NC;  his children David A. Snyder,  Elisabeth D. White (Scott),  Catherine M. Organ (Scott);  his grandchildren  Victoria A. Baldus (Rudy),  Alex M. White,  Isabelle M. White,  Christian S. Organ,  Rebecca C. Organ,  Grace C. Organ,  Faith C. I. Organ,  Micah S. A. Organ;  his brothers, David A. Snyder (Jean),  Jerry T. Snyder (Chris).

A celebration of Warren’s life and witness for the Lord will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Bay Leaf Baptist Church, 12200 Bayleaf Church Rd., Raleigh NC 27614. The family will greet guests after the service.
