Becky Cziraky

Wake Forest

Becky Cziraky, 64, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017, at her home. She was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the late James and Vonceil Payton.

She is survived by her husband, Ron Cziraky of Wake Forest; daughters, Sonya Williams (Marcus Williams, Isaiah, and Eli) and Alicia Patrick (Jared Patrick, Ezekiel, and Adrian); and sons, Eric Cziraky and Aaron Cziraky (Kathryn Cziraky and Hannah). She is also leaving behind sisters, Tobi Gabriel and Lori Quintero, and several nieces and nephews.

Becky was preceded in death by sisters Kathy Sloan, Rita Richardson, and Carol O’Hare.

Becky was a beloved wife, mother and nana. She could light up a room with her spunky personality and great sense of humor. She had a passionate love for Jesus, her family, and her church. Becky was a woman of many talents, working for Motorola, IBM, Publix, and Living Word Family Church. Her greatest joy after retirement was spending time with her five grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.

A memorial service celebrating her life was held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2017, at Faith Harvest Church in Wake Forest. Burial followed at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

Peggy Ann Weathers

Louisburg

Peggy Ann Weathers, 65, died Monday, July 3, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 7, 1952 in Franklin County to the late Jake J. Hayes and Isabell Dickerson Hayes.

Peggy worked for many years at Nortel and IBM. Her family meant everything to her. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and always loved a good party.

Peggy was preceded in death by a brother, Walter “Rock” Hayes, as well as her parents.

Memorial services were  held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 201, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home.

Surviving are her husband of 34 years, Jimmy J. Weathers; a daughter, Jimi Jo Weathers and husband, Troy “Duck” Davis; two grandchildren, Xavier Davis and Bryson Weathers; two sisters, Betty Stafford and Florenda Denton; and many other friends and family whom Peggy so loved.

Nancy Lee Whitt

Youngsville

Nancy Lee Whitt, 82, died Wednesday, July 5, 2017. She was born February 24, 1935 in Wake County to the late Haywood Garner and Nancy Brown Garner. Nancy was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Garner, a sister, Julia Swiggard, and her parents.

Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Pastor Drew Grumbles officiated. Burial followed at Brassfield Baptist Church Cemetery.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Donald Whitt of Youngsville; a daughter, Deborah Carter and husband, Bo, of Rolesville; two sons, Mitch Whitt and wife, Robin, of Youngsville and Karl Whitt and wife, Angela, of Leland; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Brenda Marshall and husband, Charles, of Youngsville; and two brothers, Bruce Garner and wife, Sylvia, of Raleigh and Ricky Garner and wife, Donna, of Wake Forest.

Taylor Ryan Halford

Franklinton

Taylor Ryan Halford, 24, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017. He was born in Shelby County, Tennessee, the son of Scott and Margaret “Maggie” Hodges Halford. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wade Halford.

A funeral service honoring his life was held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, July 10, 2017, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. David Averette officiating. Burial followed in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

Taylor is survived by his parents, Scott and Maggie Halford of Wake Forest; grandparents, Joe and Vicky Writesman of Bucksnort, Tennessee, and Carl and Susan Halford of Melbourne, Florida; aunt; Janet Davis of Bucksnort; uncles, David Hodges and wife, Simone, of Hohenwald, Tennessee, aand Steve Halford and wife, Karen, of Palm Bay, Florida; and many loving great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins and friends.
