Linda Jean Sebastian, 76, of Fuquay-Varina died on Monday, May 1, 2017, from complications due to multiple sclerosis. Linda was an elementary school teacher, enriching the lives of students in Mineola, New York and Baldwin, New York for over 30 years. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University and received her master’s in special education from Hofstra University, Hempstead, New York.
Linda was always the life of the party with a big smile, a courageous spirit, and deeply loved her family and friends.
Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years, E. Phillip; two sons, Michael P. (Jennifer) and Stephen A. (Jacqueline); three grandchildren, whom she adored, Sullivan Andrew, Elizabeth Suzanne, and Hunter P. Linda is also survived by her seven brothers and sisters, Joanne Miner, Kay Williams, Janet Lemmons, Anita Miner, Nancy Woolsey, John Miner and Philip Miner.
She was predeceased by the late William Miner.
A celebration of Linda’s life was held Sunday afternoon, May 7, 2017, at Hope Lutheran Church on Rogers Road.

Pauline Cash Carter

Pauline Cash Carter, 92, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Hillside Nursing and Rehab Center in Wake Forest. She was born in Granville County to the late James Frederick Cash, Sr. and Nonie Critcher Cash.
Mrs. Carter worked for 27 years at Keith’s Supermarket and for 10 years at the Wake Forest Care Center in Wake Forest. She loved her work and being with people, but declining health forced her early retirement.
She was a member of the Oak Level Christian Church in Youngsville and loved attending church as long as her health would let her.
A memorial service will be held at Oak Level Christian Church at a later date.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her daughters, Stella Murray and husband, Adrian “Jack” Murray Jr., of Zebulon and Lois Kearney of Rolesville; grandchildren, Adrian Murray III and wife, Kathy, Courtney Kearney, Ray Kearney and wife, Sarah; granddaughter-in-law, Amanda Murray; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Fred D. Carter; grandson, Rodney Murray; son-in-law, Carl “Buck” Kearney; her parents; and nine brothers and sisters.

Lynn Dean Davis, 64, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017, at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Wake County, daughter of the late Helen Sanders Dean and David Kelly Dean. She was a graduate of Garner High School class of 1971and was employed with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage Services.
A memorial service was held Thursday afternoon, May 4, 2017, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Mills officiating.
Lynn is survived by her husband, Jimmy Davis; daughters, Jennifer Davis (Nikki Adams) and Michelle Pierwola and husband, Rob; grandchildren, Austin Stephenson, Camden Stephenson, Matlyn Redmond and Liana Redmond; step-grandchildren, Princeton Adams, Thresher Adams, Bobby Pierwola and Korie Pierwola; great-grandson, David Pierwola; sister, Gwen Davis (Don); and best friend, Becky Rogers.
“She was our best friend and the heart of our family”.

Owen Clarence Watkins

Owen Clarence Watkins, 83, died Thursday, May 4, 2017. He was born January 16, 1934 to the late Clarence Joseph Watkins and Lucy Pearl Breedlove Watkins. Owen worked over 31 years at Burlington Mills. He was a lifetime member of Rolesville Baptist Church. Mr. Watkins was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Grace Jones Watkins, and a daughter, Peggy Watkins Hight.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Rolesville Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Bridges officiating. Burial followed in the family cemetery.
Surviving are a son, Danny O. Watkins and wife, Karen; son-in-law, Glenn Hight; two grandchildren, Matthew Hight and Danielle Watkins; a brother, Bobby James Watkins; sister-in-law, Faye Watkins; brother-in-law, Richard Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

Michael Davis “Mike” Privette, 60, of Wake Forest passed away Thursday evening, May 4, 2017, at Duke University Medical Center. Mike was a graduate of Wake Forest-Rolesville High School and was a cook.
A celebration of Mike’s life was held Tuesday evening, May 9, 2017, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Casual dress was requested.
Mike is survived by six cousins and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hallie Privette Morris; his father, Davis Privette; grandmother, Betty Fowler and grandfather, Percy Fowler.

Debra George Pearce, 59, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017, at her residence. She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Lois O’Neal George and Proctor “Billy Buck” George.
A funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon May 11, 2017 at the Stony Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family would like for everyone to attend the service in casual dress.
Debra is survived by her husband, Ricky Pearce; sons, Jason Pearce (Kathaleen King) and Justin Pearce (Emily Pearce); sister, Diane Hathaway (Jimmy); grandchildren; Brett, Haley, April, Kyle and Aryn; and two special friends; Deanna and Amanda Shannon.
