Ella Mae Bailey

Wake Forest

Ella Mae Bailey, 76, beloved mother, went home to be with our Lord on September 9, 2016. Ella Mae was also a very dear grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved her family and her Lord.

Ella Mae was born in Granville County to the late Arthur and Lector Smith Bailey on June 12, 1940. She grew up in Wake Forest and is preceded in death by her brothers, William Leonard Bailey and Macon Bailey, and her sisters, Ozie Estelle Bailey, Lector Mae Piper, Essie Etta King and Ola Ree Williams.

A funeral service honoring her life was at 11 o’clock Tuesday,  September,13, 2016, at Wake Forest Church of God. Burial followed in the Wake Forest Cemetery. There was a family luncheon following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Carolyn Hannah and husband, Roy, of Wake Forest; daughter, Sharon Carpenter of Zebulon; grandchildren, Katrina Martin of Norlina, Frank Martin IV of Durham, Ricky Carpenter Jr. of Zebulon, Lydia Hannah of Wake Forest, Tara Markham and husband, Will, of Franklinton, Donna Manning and husband, James, of Zebulon; and Nate Hannah of Wake Forest; great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Flanagan, Brooklynn Carpenter, Star Parrish, Chelsea Markham, Trey Everette, Banks Manning and Coltin Markham; brother, Felton Leonard Bailey and wife, Catherine, of Wake Forest; sisters, Liffee Chamblee and husband, Harold, of  Raleigh and Evelyn Seagroves and husband, Albert, of Wake Forest; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to help the family with the burial cost to Bright Funeral Home.

Richard Larry Woodlief

Wake Forest

Richard Larry Woodlief, 72, passed away at his residence on Monday morning, September 12, 2016. He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Mary Francis Richards Woodlief and Charlie Clarence Woodlief Sr.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Jane Woodlief, and brothers, Jerry Woodlief and Charlie Clarence Woodlief Jr.

A funeral service was held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, September 14, 2016, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home.

Mr. Woodlief is survived by his wife; Harriet Spencer Woodlief; a son, Bryan Woodlief and his wife, Stephanie, of Wake Forest; and a grandson; Trevor Woodlief of Wake Forest.
