Joseph Walter Travers
Joseph Walter Travers, 80, of Wake Forest died Tuesday morning, March 25, 2014. Mr. Travers was born in the Bronx, N.Y., the son of the late Virginia Van Der Hayden Travers and Walter Travers. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a retired banker.
A funeral mass was celebrated at 10 o’clock Thursday morning, March 27, 2014, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Burial was in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Travers is survived by his wife, Margaret Meehan Travers; daughter, Theresa Travers and her children, Austin Brodmerkel and Karlee Brodmerkel; and a son, Joe Travers and his wife, Mary Kate, and their children, Megan, Michael, Anne and Paul Travers.
