No farmers market Nov. 29

There will be no Wake Forest Farmers Market Saturday, Nov. 29, because the farmers and vendors held a special holiday market on Tuesday, Nov. 25, from 3 to 5 p.m. This gives them a chance to enjoy a long weekend.

But the always festive Holiday Market will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with lots of arts and crafts, holiday cookies and sweets and gifts. Find the Holiday Market in the Renaissance Plaza where East Elm Avenue meets Brooks Street.

However, there will be no market Saturday, Dec. 13, because that is the day of the Wake Forest Christmas Parade that begins at 1 p.m. The parade lineup includes the plaza and the streets around it, and the parade ends and disbands at the plaza.

After that, the farmers market will return to Saturday markets with winter hours, 10 a.m. to noon, through March.

See the market on Facebook, take a look at all the vendors and their wares as well as special events at www.wakeforestfarmersmarket.org or call 919-671-9269 if you need information.
