Next Relay for Life meeting Thursday

Join Wake Forest’s fight against cancer by attending the next Northern Wake Relay For Life meeting Thursday, Feb. 20, at 7:30 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 830 Durham Road.

Relay For Life is a walk, and everyone can participate by forming or joining a team, raising money, then coming together to celebrate cancer survivors and remember loved ones lost. Relay is an overnight event featuring food, live music and activities for children.

The public is invited to learn more about the American Cancer Society and its efforts to find a cure while supporting survivors. All meetings are open to everyone – cancer survivors, their supporters, current and former team members, and past and present team captains are urged to attend.

Upcoming meetings are March 6, March 20, April 3 and April 15 in preparation for this year’s Relay on May 16-17 at Heritage High School. For more details, email Melissa Kobelinski at kobelinski@cancer.org, call Marty Coward at 919-556-6870 or go online to www.NorthernWakeRelay.org.
