News from the chamber

Great companies start with great people. But these days, those great people are hard to find! If you are hiring, reserve your booth today for our upcoming Wake Forest Works Job Fair.

The job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 South Brooks Street.

Each participating employer will receive booth space where they may display information about their business and job openings and meet potential applicants.

A dedicated Interview Room will allow participating businesses to have private one-on-one interviews with prospective employees on the spot.

Employers in all industries, offering all types of jobs – full-time, part-time, contract, or seasonal positions – are welcome to participate, as well as those offering internships and and service opportunities.

Only 36 booths are available. Sponsors receive premium booth locations and additional marketing prior to the job fair.

Call the chamber for more information.

On Friday, June 25, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. the Women’s Business Alliance, a group associated with the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce, will host a forum titled “Resiliency Through Life’s Unexpected Challenges, featuring three women who have faced challenges: Mayor Vivian Jones, financial advisor Barbara Kingrey, and bookstore owner Sue Lucey.

All three have all successfully navigated through a variety of life’s challenges. In January 2020, they shared how they learned to be resilient in the face of health, career, and situational transitions. Now, we’re bringing them back to start a conversation about resiliency during a global pandemic! You’ll be inspired by their stories and learn from their experiences. Join us, and join the conversation!

This meeting is free of charge for Wake Forest Area Chamber members as a benefit of your membership. Please click the button below to register or call the chamber.
