WAKE Up and Read is a community coalition committed to improving early childhood literacy in Wake County. Building home libraries is one of their biggest initiatives, and from January 23 – February 28, they are hosting their 8th Annual Book Drive with a goal to collect 200,000 new and gently read books for babies up to children 12 years old.
