News about the chamber

The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) of the Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce invites you to join them at their Wednesday, March 6, session which will feature a discussion with Wake County Manager David Ellis. You will have ample time to ask questions and voice concerns.

All GAC programs are now open to every member. Our months government affairs updates in 2019 will feature elected officials and staff from local, county and state government. Join us on Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Richland Creek Community Church for the Wake Forest Chamber’s Family Expo. Presented by Shaw RV, the expo will include 75 exhibitor booths featuring Northern Wake County’s premier family-friendly business. From summer and track-out camps, healthcare and local school options, to extracurricular activities like swim lessons, dance and martial arts, and you’ll find every aspect of family life represented as you walk among the booths.

The Family Expo will also be a place for kids to be kids, so don’t leave the little ones at home! While the majority of the expo booths will be found indoors, a special Kid Zone presented by Galaxy Fun Park will take place outside. In the Kid Zone, you’ll get to tour one of Shaw RV’s impressive recreational vehicles and see how fun and comfortable camping can be. The Wake Forest Fire Department and Wake Forest Power will also be on hand with their fire and line trucks. See them up close and personal! If the kiddos want to burn off some energy, we’ve got that covered, too. The Kid Zone includes bounce houses, a pitching machine, face painting, balloon animals, and more. Bring your camera and get your picture taken with our two special guests: Galaxy Fun Park’s robot, Galatron, and the Carolina Mudcats’ Muddy the Mudcat.
